New Elementary School in China’s Liaoning Province
Together with the Beijing Organizing Committee of Olympics Painting and Calligraphy Selection, CityCare aided in the construction of a new elementary school building in northeastern Liaoning Province. The new three-storey building was completed in September 2008 and consists of 11 classrooms, 1 science laboratory, 2 multi-purpose rooms and 4 administration office rooms. 3,500 Students in Latest Spelling Bee competition
The latest edition of the Spelling Bee competition attracted a total of 3,500 contestants from Wulong County, Chongqing, the main economic gateway of southwestern China. The competition, open to students from Grades 4 to 6, is now into its second year and is part of CityCare’s English enrichment program in the country. [more]

Humanitarian Projects Across Asia
In Medan, Indonesia, CityCare helped built a rehabilitation center, an orphanage and a medical and children center to provide shelter and basic healthcare to children. To date, these centers have served more than 200 children, as well as 80 drug addicts and mentally-ill patients.
In the cities of Jaffna and Badullah, Sri Lanka, CityCare also took part in the construction of homes to provide shelter and education to almost 100 children, including 25 children and teens left orphaned from the tsunami in 2004. |
