about us
CityCare was started with a group of professionals who saw the immense potential in young people today.
It was observed that a startling trend that youth volunteerism and involvement in community service seems to be on the decline, even in the compulsory Community Involvement Programmes in schools. Many of the youths seem to be providing the labour to serve ad-hoc projects without the proper understanding through education on the areas of community needs that they are serving.
Hence, volunteering became an act of the hand by providing manpower rather than an act from the heart where there is passion and commitment to the cause.
The fundamentals of CityCare strategy are based upon our response to the needs of the youth today:

With the dream to see positive transformation in society, everybody, in particular, the young people, need to be involved. The equipping of trained volunteers through encouragement, education and empowerment is thus the focus of CityCare.
