CityCare Supports Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games!

Singapore has made history by becoming the first country to host the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2010. As a proud supporter of the Singapore 2010 dream, CityCare would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to the nation for winning the bid.

Echoing Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong’s statement, Singapore’s successful bid is indeed ‘a great honour and privilege for Singapore and every Singaporean’ . CityCare is proud to be a part of the Singapore 2010 movement through our specially designed ‘We Support Singapore 2010’ car decals, produced with our partners 77 th Street, Spectacle Hut, Fuji Xerox and V.Hive. To date, we have distributed some 40,000 decals, including 15,000 to all ComfortDelGro cab drivers.

Among the 5,000 people who had gathered at the Padang for the result announcement last Thurdsay was 40 CityCare staff and volunteers. After the win was announced by International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge, volunteer Jeremy Ko, 20, summed up our emotions, "It's very exciting. We are such a small city, but we actually made it to become the first city to host the Youth Olympics."

To mark this historical moment,CityCare and 77th Street are proud to present a tribute video to celebrate Singapore's win.
